KICK operates on the principles of a social enterprise which markets products co-created with and produced by local artisans, craftsmen and micro enterprises using recycled materials and invasive species from the wetlands around Lake Victoria.KICK uses waste and recycled raw materials such as copper wire from old fridge compressors, air conditioners, car alternators, waste paper, tins, plastic, water hyacinth, and papyrus, among others to make unique greeting cards, jewellery, ornaments, furniture, and interiors.
